Love IS…

Most of our definitions of romantic love are constructs of love dictated to us through the use of media and our experiences from our childhood that defined love. Both of these ‘ideals’ are inaccurate and often have nothing to do with love at all, but are rather a reflection of our needs and wants in a relationship. Which is to say; that ‘love’ is what we feel we need reflected back to us through our significant ‘other’ or from any intimate relationship. We are actually ‘in love’ with an ideal of what we believe we can receive from another.

We tend to search for ‘love’ to be reflected back to us in all the wrong places hoping for our ‘ideal’ and then settling for not being alone. But what are we actually searching for? Continue reading

May Newsletter 2017: Happiness – Conscious Relationships

Happy Victoria & Memorial Day!

What was last month like for you? Because last week I really didn’t know where I wanted to go with my Blog nor my interview on Apr 25th with Tom Campbell. However I had a few areas that were showing up within my readings with different authors who’s interviews are coming up (like Paul Selig – should be a fabulous interview in June) and from my interactions with some of my followers. So I had my interview with Tom and things really flowed during our interview around ‘happiness’ and ‘conscious relationships’.

April felt like a strange month of confusing energies, which is why I asked. However, near the new moon on the 26th of April things seemed to shift. A gentler energy emerged and what seemed like confusing energies changed into expansive and opening energy. May feels like a new beginning and both Canada and the US have celebrations this month (albeit different weekends) that usually mark the beginning of Summer! Let’s learn to Play more this year and enJOY the gentler and expansive energies available to us.

What’s Up in the Universal Sky this month: April 2017

As we enter into May, Mercury is still retrograde!  Everyone may still be feeling the intensity of miss-communication and computer issues, but hopefully that will not last long.  Mercury will station direct on May 3rd at 24 degrees of Aries 15 minutes.  This direct motion is bringing us to the revelation of new possibilities.  The key is to be open and infuse faith into all that is beginning a new for you.  Mercury’s post shadow period ends on May 21st.  During this time, we are given the opportunity to fully alight with our highest aspirations and our personal values and beliefs.

The Full Moon in Scorpio takes place on May 10th.  The Scorpio moons are often viewed as release moons; which can be rather emotional for some people.  We need to release or clear what is no longer serving us.  This particular one is asking you to clear what is stopping you from attaining inner freedom.  One may discover that others may not agree with your particular decisions.  But at this time, one must assert their own values, no matter what the cost.  (Keep in mind, intention is key).  We are speaking to the values of the individual as it speaks to their personal values and beliefs that bring them to the place of proving their individual nature.

Mars, (Scorpios ruling planet) will square Neptune on May 11th.  This may create some indecisiveness or confusion around what you are honouring within the self.  This aspect can also leave you feeling like you have a lack of energy or you may feel physically weak and tired.

As we approach May 17th, we can not take on the responsibilities of others.  It is up to each individual to do what they need to do for themselves.  You may feel challenged with setting boundaries which can ultimately lead you to letting go of ideas of the past so that you can adopt a new belief system.  Again, be open as you walk what may feel like a circular path to valour.

On May 19th, Saturn trine Uranus stimulates a sense of new excitement.  You are still required to infuse responsibility as the new and exciting concepts appear.  Breakthroughs are imminent, so get ready to move in new directions as you embrace the opportunity to delve into exciting new actives.

On May 25th, the New Moon takes place in the sign of Gemini.  It has us springing into action!  Taking action is completely up to you, but that is what it is inspiring us to do.  It is suggested that we tap into some repressed feelings and root emotions.  The purpose is to understand that we can reach beyond any established forms or ways of BEing.

Also on that day, just before the New Moon Jupiter trine Neptune allows you to feel at one with the world.  BEing in a place of peace and tranquility is possible if you can tap into your creativity.  Detachment is a key component in attaining the desired alignment with your authentic inner nature which allows you to actively participate in peak experiences.

May 29th, Mars opposite Saturn is asking you to access your self-control as you focus on of resolutions to what challenges you at this time.

Inspire to be the best you can BE during this month of clarity and action, as you continue to connect and align with your divine nature!  enJOY!!!

Inspiration: Happiness – Consciousness of Relationships

The issues that were arising were around our relationships and how we continue to justify our fears by looking at the ‘other’ instead of understanding that we are responsible for everything that happens in our lives. We continue to worry, get angry, and justify our reactions because of someone else. It isn’t easy to authentically see that our ‘unhappiness’ is not because of someone else but because we have a fear that makes us feel insecure, unheard, insignificant or abandoned. It appears clear to us that these people or things that happen are why we are unhappy and we don’t remember that every event is really an opportunity for our own growth. Every time we have a negative response (or even a positive response) we are adding to our story of our lives. We are creating the definition that we have actualized as our identity. We want to blame our unhappiness on someone or something or believe we will only be happy when we can ensure that everyone else is doing what we need them to do. So we justify feeling unhappy because someone or thing has made us unhappy.

If we knew that the Larger Consciousness System (Tom’s wording for Higher Consciousness) is here to help us to grow. If we knew that everything has a purpose in our lives to help us grow towards ‘love’ then is it possible to allow all of these experiences to be ‘seen’ as opportunities to let go of our fears? And these experiences are also to acknowledge that no matter what happens the other person is truly being the ‘best’ they can BE and that they are not doing something to hurt us or create anxiety or pain in our lives. Rather it is our own perceptions that create the pain and unhappiness in our lives. It is our own Ego that needs to justify these experiences because it needs to be ‘right’ instead of happy.

We are ‘infinite Divine Beings’ that are having a human experience to Evolve our Consciousness towards Love. We grow when we are ‘relating with others’ and it is only when we can let go of this need to blame or accept the ‘story’ of our lives as a victim can we truly step out of our patterns of fear being perceived by us. If we truly desire to ‘grow up’ and get out of the pain and unhappiness we have established as who we are then we have to begin accepting unconditionally that the pain and unhappiness isn’t coming from events or others but from our own fears within; our own beliefs and our own story of who we believe we are!

We have just forgotten who we are. We aren’t our fears. We aren’t this ego identity that we ‘believe’ is who we are. We are not just a child, parent, spouse, an education or an occupation etc. that we think about when someone asks us who we are or what we do. We are a ‘Divine Being’ who has chosen to incarnate as a Human Being to evolve towards love. We are not separate yet we have individuated consciousness to ‘Remember’ who we are and to choose to expand our consciousness towards unconditional acceptance and love of Self and ‘others’. We are more than our experiences and our fears.

Our relationships are our mirrors to understand our own consciousness. We are allowing our stories to trigger and dictate our unhappiness and add this unhappiness to our story with all the “what’s and why’s” that the ‘other’ person does to hurt us, instead of working on changing OUR story and changing our fears that create our story and unhappiness.

Instead we focus on each situation as a separate event that continues to justify our ‘story’: reappearing as a pattern. This belief we hold about who we are is just a fabrication that confirms our fears. Let me give an example: a person we have a relationship with says something that triggers us, out of their own fear they say something that makes us believe they are betraying us, abandoning us or alluding to the fact that we aren’t significant enough to… (you fill in the blank). It may be a fear that someone isn’t being honest and upfront with you, or maybe someone is appearing aloof and distant, like they don’t care. The ‘mirror’ we are meant to understand is that this is ‘our’ fear and we haven’t shifted it if we can still justify BEing unhappy or blaming another. We instead just take this experience and add it to our ever increasing ‘story’ of who we believe we are.

So how does this relate to ‘Happiness’? Well, like everything in this life, we tend to focus on what we don’t want instead of BEing happy inside or allowing our Divine Essence to express itself, we are allowing our fears to continue to dictate our story; our unhappiness. We can’t seek ‘happiness’, it has to BEcome our intention to Evolve towards Love. It is only through our intention to grow that we will uncover that our ‘happiness’ has been here all along. We have the ‘choice’ to examine our fears and accept these fears as opportunities to mature and BEcome the Love that we already are. Our ‘happiness’ isn’t something that is ‘out’ there, but it is who we are as Divine Beings.

Learning through our relationships: having conscious experiences when our fears present themselves are the only way we can experience conscious relationships, experience Love and remember who we are. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to BE happy and have conscious relationships. I’m finding it increasingly difficult to NOT see the Divine within and experiencing more compassion and acceptance (even when I have epic failures) with mySelf. Let’s choose to initiate these changes by remembering who we are; Divine Beings having a human experience.

News for the Heart talks with Tom Campbell – Grab Bag – Consciousness of Relationships – Happiness

Laurie Huston from News the Heart is talking with physicist Tom Campbell on the Consciousness of Relationships, Grab Bag (LOL). This is a deep conversation about the choices we make about relationships. We explore ways to BE happy and it can’t be from seeking it out. Happiness comes from letting go of our fears. Examining our fears based on when we get triggered. We added through this discussion how our reactions in relationships are always our fears and once we identify them, become authentic with them, accept them, then we can stop reacting from a place of fear. We also looked at our desire to be authentic and how to also express love to ‘other’ and accept other (as in relationships) we can grow towards love. Our biggest problem we come from this place we are in ego, placing conditions on Love and justifying everything that ‘happens’ as happening to us and bringing in our story. We need to understand that when we want something (happiness), our need to validate BEing right, we aren’t “loving” and it is all ego. Acceptance and BEing authentic are the first ways to face our fears and evolve towards Love. Accepting who we are, will assist us to understand ourselves and face our fears. Coming from a place of Love will always create what it is we desire most. Join us for this important discussion! We’re Getting to the Heart of what Matters!

Intimacy (Into-me-see)

ID-100399034Usually when I think of fall, especially at the beginning of Sept, I think about new beginnings, learning and change. This year my thinking seems to be on Intimacy. I mentioned last month I’m participating in Emmanuel Dagher’s “Core Healing” and this past week the theme was on Divine Partners. The topic of intimacy came up and I believe due to the fact that today Venus enters Libra and Jupiter is transiting into Libra early this month (Sept 9th) the focus for many of us will be on relationships this fall and for the next year (romantic, friends and colleagues) as Jupiter will be in Libra till Oct 2017.

I love the word “Intimacy” as it brings up a series of thoughts and ideas; it is about ‘seeing me’. Do you remember the movie Avatar? The beautiful piece of that movie was their deep understanding of ‘seeing someone’ as they are; their inner essence. When it comes to creating intimacy with others, romantic and otherwise, we need to start with ourselves. Continue reading

News for the Heart: Laurie Huston & Tom Campbell discuss Love Month!

tomcampbellLaurie Huston from News the Heart is talking with physicist Tom Campbell on Love Month! He offers tips and tools to help us determine when we are focused on Authentic Love vs Romantic Love and what to do if we were to really focus on Love Month. We discuss that Romantic Love is often based on Fear and not Love at all! Tom has a brilliant way to simplify our world into love vs fear. We discuss how Love is about “others” not our own needs, and when to recognize our fears associated with Romantic Love, Ego and how we can shift our perceptions when we are feeling triggered by fear and focus on Authentic Love. Love is…

loveI like to term February as Love Month, but what happens more often than not is that we think about what is Not Love. What do I mean by this? We think about love in February because of Valentine’s Day, which means we are thinking about ‘romantic love’. jeffbrownLaurie Huston from News the Heart is talking with author Jeff Brown on his New book: An Uncommon Bond. Jeff embarks on leading us through a new consciousness in Relationships. We explore Woundmates, Solemates, Soulmates, Uncommon Bonds and how these types of relationships are changing our consciousness and relationships into a New World. One where we need some Love Elders to guide us! It’s a novel based on his own experiences and Spiritual Growth. It is full of Heart Truths and a whole new way to experience Relationships! Join us for this fascinating discussion! We’re Getting to the Heart of what Matters!

An Uncommon Bond

Written by Jeff Brown

In this higher consciousness love story, author Jeff Brown shares the poignant journey of Lowen and Sarah, two soulmates who have found their way to one another yet again. This intimate and revealing account is told through Lowen’s eyes, as he experiences the heights and depths that come with meeting his beloved. In this remarkably engaging story, we walk beside the lovers as they touch the divine and then struggle to ground their love in daily life. From the heights of sacred sexuality to the depths of human foible, they ultimately have to choose: surrender to this love or shrink back to mediocrity, work through their emotional baggage or flee the connection, open to the next portal of possibility or postpone it until the next lifetime. Shaped and reshaped in love’s cosmic kiln, Sarah and Lowen become a symbol of our own longing for wholeness in the presence of another.

This book is a rare and unique gem–one of the first of its kind. Rivetingly real and magically poetic, it sheds new light on the evolving relational paradigm of ‘uncommon bonds’, ‘soulmates’, and Jeff Brown’s unique term ‘wholemates.’ In a world that yearns for deep soul connection, An Uncommon Bond provides a blueprint of conscious relationship for us all–reminding us of the luminous nature of great love, and showing us the opportunities for expansion that live at its heart.

About Jeff Brown

Born in Toronto, Canada, Jeff Brown did all the things he was supposed to do to become successful in the eyes of the world. He was on the Dean’s Honor List as an undergraduate. He won the Law and Medicine prize in law school. He apprenticed with top criminal lawyer Eddie Greenspan. It had been Brown’s lifelong dream to practice criminal law and search for the truth in the courtroom.

But then, on the verge of opening a law practice, he heard a little voice inside telling him to stop, just stop. With great difficulty, he honored this voice and began a heartfelt quest for the truth that lived within him. Although he didn’t realize it at the time, Brown was actually questing for his innate image, the essential being that he came into this lifetime to embody. He was searching for his authentic face.

As part of his journey, Brown surrendered to his confusion and explored many possible paths. He studied Bioenergetics and did session work with co-founder Alexander Lowen. He practiced as a body-centered psychotherapist. He completed an MA in Psychology at Saybrook Graduate School in San Francisco and co-founded the Open Heart Gang, a benevolent gang with a heartfelt intention. He started his own business and became a successful entrepreneur.

The most important thing Brown did, however, was the inner work. By going inside and connecting his spirituality with his emotional life, he learned essential lessons. By learning to surrender to the “School of Heart Knocks” (the school of life), he found his authentic face and embraced the call to write Soulshaping. Although he resisted it at first, he soon realized that honoring the call was his best defense against sleeplessness. If he wrote, he slept. If he didn’t, he lay awake all night. This is in the nature of a calling.

Brown self-published the first edition of Soulshaping in December 2007. Called ‘Soulshaping: Adventures in Self-Creation’, the book was sold on a street level by a homeless man in Toronto and met with a tremendous response. It was picked up by North Atlantic Books soon thereafter and a beautiful new edition, distributed by Random House, entered bookstores in August 2009. Now named ‘Soulshaping: A Journey of Self-Creation’, this edition includes a new preface written by Brown that speaks to the grass roots energy that moved the book into the world so quickly, validating his own intuition about the book’s connective and heartfelt nature.

After writing a series of inspirations for ABC’S ‘Good Morning America’ in early, 2010, and appearing on Fox News.com and dozens of radio shows, Brown wrote the viral blog ‘Apologies to the Divine Feminine (from a warrior in transition)’ that autumn, catapulting him to a greater degree of notoriety, particularly in social media. Soon thereafter, he released his first film- Karmageddon- an award winning spiritual documentary that highlights his journey with spiritual teacher Bhagavan Das. Also featuring profound interviews with ‘Be Here Now’ author Ram Dass, yogis Seane Corn and David Life, and chanters Wah, Deva Premal and Miten, Karmageddon is a courageous, self-honest, unforgettable film about spirituality, integrity, and emotional healing. It can be purchased at www.karmageddonthemovie.com.

Jeff’s second book- Ascending with Both Feet on the Ground- was published in October, 2012. Strongly endorsed by Oprah ‘Soul Series’ Radio host Elizabeth Lesser and best-selling author’s Oriah Mountain Dreamer and Katherine Woodward Thomas, “Ascending” is a collection of some of Jeff’s most popular spiritual graffiti–quotes, soul-bytes and aphorisms frequently shared in social media.

His third book- Love It Forward- was published on Valentine’s Day, 2014. In this second book of spiritual graffiti, Love It Forward includes a number of Jeff’s most popular and profound love and relationship quotes. Endorsed by best-selling authors Carolyn Myss, Andrew Harvey and CNN’S Father Edward Beck, this beautiful book also includes a series of inspirations that Jeff wrote for ‘Good Morning America’ and is a reflection of his new movement, also called ‘Love It Forward’. His new publishing house- Enrealment Press- has just signed a deal with New Leaf distribution and will begin publishing other authors in 2015.

He is presently in his writing cave in Toronto, working on a higher consciousness love story and a book that reflects his views on spirituality.  Enrealment Press will be websited in the summer of 2014, and his teaching platform- Soulshaping Institute- will be developed after these 2 books are completed.

April Newsletter 2014 ~ Are you Compromising too much?

Happy Easter Laurie!

easter-bunnies1I’m writing this on March 30th, day of the New Moon in Aries, the official beginning of the New Astrological Year 2014. I feel the “newness” of the day and the hope that Spring may finally be here. Although, I’m not sure our weather gods have received the memo. Yet, we are beginning to see the end of the -Celsius weather, at least during the day. Fingers crossed that it will continue.

April is when BeMajor.org is taking off, my shows aren’t completely booked up yet, so please refer to facebook for when my shows are happening. I also may have sent you a facebook friend request from BeMajor.org’s  new profile and page, please take some time and join us! Our shows will also be updated there too!

I also want to remind you that we have 2 eclipses this month, full moon, total lunar eclipse April 15th and a solar eclipse on April 29th (which is also another new moon in Aries… which gives New Beginnings an extra boost) and is considered one of the first “blood moons” which is a biblical prophecy. (From what I’ve read, two Christian pastors, Mark Blitz and John Hagee, use the term Blood Moon to apply to the full moons of the upcoming tetrad – four successive total lunar eclipses, with no partial lunar eclipses in between, each of which is separated from the other by six lunar months (six full moons) – in 2014 and 2015. John Hagee appears to have popularized the term in his 2013 book Four Blood Moons: Something is About to Change.) I’m excited to see what may occur beginning this month, but I honestly believe that good things are in store for us, not the prophecy of dread or end of the world! Eclipse’s do have a lot of extra energy to offer and people who are sensitive may not like the energy, but they will
move us forward and that is what it is all about!

Happy Easter!!

My Inspiration this Month
I’ve been contemplating compromise in the grand scheme of our lives. We are taught that we should be “in service” to the world; that if we want to love it is about “giving”; and that our ego is “bad”. Then I reflected upon our dreams and desires, how we need to set intentions and be clear about what we want so the Universe can deliver our dreams, as long as we can let go and not try to control the outcome. I also considered relationships, which is really the only way we grow, so therefore, are probably one of the most important resources to develop. And finally, I pondered about what it means to focus outside ourselves instead of inside where the magic can happen. These thoughts all brought me to try and understand whether we compromise too much of who we are in life, so that we can follow the expectations of the world (spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally).

We seem to live in a world full of dichotomy, full of demands and expectations, full of what is “right vs wrong” and it becomes difficult to wrap our minds around what we need to do for ourselves. Do we compromise who we are in relationships, whether they are our intimate relationships, family, friends or work colleagues? I know I have! Trying to do the right thing often leads us to compromise something within us. A dream, a belief or a value that is incongruent to who we are at a soul level. When our boss requests we do something, and our job is contingent on completing our tasks, do we have a choice? What about when our spouse requests we set aside something that we are doing to assist them, or want us to do something that we don’t or can’t because it is against our inner core? The other problem is when are we just feeding our ego and its needs, doing something that is what we need from a soul desire or opening our hearts and just plain giving? Ego is really just what we want! It doesn’t take into consideration “others”. Compromise and ego don’t really have a middle ground. Do our dreams, intentions and desires have to take a back seat to compromising for the good of our relationships?

When is compromising the “right” thing to do and when does it corrode who we are and our Soul’s dreams? We have to honor our inner convictions and inner self. I think part of the problem is that we aren’t always conscious of our inner values and belief systems. Probably this is where we have to begin the search or deep understanding of who we are. I believe that when two people are in a relationship dynamic that comes from different spectrums of the same thought (example is the love vs fear spectrum, one person may be responding from a place of love, the other from fear) we can discuss it rationally to get the other person to see both sides of the spectrum. But sometimes it may be about compromising part of what you need for the greater good of the relationship. Perhaps as long as you aren’t settling for something that is essential to who you are, maybe compromising is okay. Or maybe it has more to do with as long as we are whole and residing in and honouring that place of wholeness within ourselves, when someone asks us to do something, it is not a compromise, you just do it or you don’t and there is no story about it because you are whole and you are existing in that place of wholeness. The problem comes from when we are not in this state or place of wholeness and then we simply exist from a place and state of compromise. This is when awareness is key to our understanding of what is compromise and how we define who we are!

Take some time and reflect how well you are able to honour and respect yourself in relationship with yourself and in relationship with others. Are there areas in your life where you compromise yourself? Maybe some areas you have mastered and others need some attention.

It is important to recognize the difference between compromising what you want and compromising who you are.

Stay tuned, I will have more information on my new endeavors and NEW shows this month. Check on Facebook for posts!

Victoria Lorient-Faibish Feb 28/14

victoriaAs a Holistic Psychotherapist., Life Coach and Speaker, with a busy practice in Toronto, Canada, Victoria draws on a wide range of philosophies and modalities applying her own concept of “self-culture”.   Victoria has helped countless people move past depression, anxiety and with her proven protocols and techniques; she has helped so many discover their authentic selves and create the lives they were meant to live.

Born in Montreal and having grown up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Lisbon, Portugal, to a Portuguese Catholic mother and a Romanian Jewish father, Victoria today finds her home in Toronto, Canada, with her beloved husband of twenty-two years. Her influences include Buddhism, shamanism, osteopathy, physical fitness, music, theater, visualization and meditation, as well as modern and traditional psychotherapy.

In 1990, after the death of her father, Victoria returned from living in Cozumel, Mexico, where she was exposed to the subtle yet magnetic energy of the Mayan Indians. There she was exposed to hands-on energy work. Her return to Toronto set her on a journey of spiritual and emotional self-discovery that included a stint in the theater, where she wrote, starred in and produced a number of soul-exploring plays, including the critically acclaimed play Coming Out of the Fridge, a serious comedy about eating disorders and body consciousness.

At the same time, she studied a plethora of holistic body-centered modalities, including reflexology, therapeutic touch, craniosacral therapy, reiki and her beloved and phenomenal polarity therapy. This mélange became the foundation of her busy private holistic practice in Toronto, which beckoned the need for a master’s degree in educational psychology as her practice began to evolve past the body and into the realms of emotional transformation. This became the basis for her brand of holistic psychotherapy, which works with the mind, body and soul to effect monumental change in her clients’ lives.

This book is a work of passion that began in 2007, when she started recording videos on YouTube (www.youtube.com/askvictoria) about various topics that were delved into at the office. The public’s response has been incredible and she has over 80 videos that have garnered over 370,000 views and counting as the hunger to find one’s self-culture continues to be a key for people who are on a quest for self-love and happiness. The transcribed videos became the foundation for the chapters in this book.

Today, Victoria is thrilled to bring the work she does in her office to the world at large, where people can use the case studies, teachings and exercises in this book as they go on the path toward finding their self-culture.

How is Love Unfolding in your life?

As we observe the colder than average winter, we begin to long for spring and warmer weather. Our groundhogs have unanimously decided that we are in for another 6 weeks (although, our meteorologists were already confirming this). On a brighter note, this is the shortest month of the year and the one I have declared as “Love Month”. We allow ourselves an opportunity to open our hearts during this cold, short month because of one day. Unfortunately, many put so much emphasis and expectation on this day to be perfect and set it as a benchmark for how love will show up in their lives. Continue reading

Unfortunately, many put so much emphasis and expectation on this day to be perfect and set it as a benchmark for how love will show up in their lives.

Valentine’s Day is a lovely opportunity to look at our lives and see what we truly desire in love. Love, first and foremost, should be appreciated from our own hearts. Asking ourselves what does love mean to us? Is it open and flowing or full of disappointments? Do we know Love from inside, or do we only know love from how others have given it to us? Do we share love or covet it like there will never be enough? Is it safe for us to love?

These questions are important to our definitions of love and who we continue to bring into our lives. Love almost always is defined through our parents, how they interacted with one another and with us. The imprint of these interactions are often unconscious, yet they are ever present in our day to day lives.

We often continue to play out these same patterns all our lives. Yet, we have the opportunity to become the observer and evolve our relationships. As with most growth, it must occur within us first. The goal is to become aware of what is operating in our unconscious that is sabotaging our best efforts to nurture love in our own hearts and our relationships with others. We must understand our relationship with self and who we are from the bigger picture. Are we generous, open and compassionate to ourselves? Are we unavailable, thinking only of ourselves and withholding love unless it is proven worthy or our expectations have been met?

Let’s face it, we usually have expectations and needs when it comes to love. We often manipulate and try to control how we get love to meet our needs. Or give love when others meet our expectations. And it is often difficult to just BE in relationship with self and others.

When it comes to love, I invite you to let things just unfold! That way you don’t have to make a quick judgment of the person or relationship (no matter how long you have known them). Judgments are debilitating because once made we then keep them held within a defined box with perceptions and choices restricted to our original judgment. The thing is nothing is how we perceive it, nor is it possible for our perceptions to be accurate, because our past experiences and our judgments are always influencing what we perceive. If you can release the ideas you have created around yourself and others, you can be free of the drama within your life. And you can observe the real unfolding of life. Instead we usually are trying to manipulate and control everything to have it fit our expectations.

That is why it is so important to be open and allow things to unfold, especially when it comes to love! Love is like a flower opening up to the sun! It breathes the sun into itself and allows it to grow. I believe we can be this open with regards to love. To let go of the pain associated with our first introduction to love and redefine what love means to us. We do however, have to begin with ourselves! Share love openly to yourself as well as to others. Focus on the giving of Love and not on the receiving of necessary needs and controlling expectations. Understand the choices that keep you stuck in your misperceptions of love. Love is always evolving and unfolding all around us. God is always showing us how we can evolve. As we evolve, our understanding of what Love is changes. It is Love that feeds our soul and evolves our consciousness. When we can BE and let life unfold, we are embraced in the dance of life. If you desire more love in your life (whether new or renewed) then give unconditionally of your heart and let love unfold freely.

January 2014 Newsletter ~ New Years Intentions

What are your Intentions for 2014?

This New Year begins with a New Moon (6:14 am EST). We will have 2 super new moons, January 1st and 30th, that could impact our weather (as if we haven’t had our share of strange weather phenomenon already this holiday season). This also means 2 blue new moons this year (I’ve never heard of this happening before) as Feb won’t have a new moon, but March will have 2.

Now, having a new moon on New Year’s Day is powerful! New moons are when we create new beginnings. So this New Year starts with an auspicious new moon, and it’s important to take advantage of this energy to begin our year. Rituals have an important role to play in honoring ourselves and all that we love, as well as, assisting us to focus our intentions (although, you all know I am not big on certain things, like creating things outside ourselves). My focus this year, may not surprise you, as I am continuing my attention on my Heart’s desire.

Have you thought about where you are going to place your attention for this coming year?NewYears

This new moon provides us with an excellent opportunity to review your fears and what you want to let go of. I begin this process by making a list of all the fears that i’m ready to release this year. Then I make a list of what my Heart desires most -love, grace, joy, freedom, gratitude-, and all the other emotions that I desire to embrace this New Year! For my ritual, I like to bring in all the elements, earth, air, water and fire, for my altar. I can either set up an altar at home that embodies who I aspire to become, (which includes a photo of myself or someone I admire that embodies all I want to become and include a list of their attributes that I admire), or I head down to the lake where all the elements are already present (once I add fire).

Other things I add to my altar at home Includes; a bowl of water, where I would add a flower; candles or small contained fire; crystals from the earth and my favourite scented oil (use a diffuser or just add to the water). I include the lists I made earlier of what I am ready to release and of what I want to embody. I typically burn the list I am ready to release as a part of my ritual and I honour the list I want to embody, by writing it out on special paper, then I put it under my pillow or display it on my altar until the next new moon or full moon (but I like 30 days, and then I will burn it). The most important part of ritual is Opening our Hearts and allowing the magic to unfold!

What you need to know:

There have been a lot of changes in 2013, the year of Transcending; especially the latter part of the year. On Dec 20th, I discovered that CBS is changing the format of Sky Radio to an all music station January 1st. Also, my relationships have all changed around my Canadian Thanksgiving this year, both new and old. Through all of this, I set my intentions to keep all doors open instead of closing them. The significance of this time is amplified by Venus going retrograde December 21st (our Solstice) to January 31st. This means we will all be revisiting all of our relationships for personal and spiritual evolution and growth. Once Venus goes direct, Mercury will be going retrograde on February 6th – 28th, so remember to be careful around all communications. Then, as if we hadn’t had enough, Mars goes retrograde March 1st – May 19th, Saturn will also go retrograde on Mar 2nd – July 20th and Jupiter goes direct on Mar 6th (outer planets like Saturn and Jupiter, don’t affect us as much as the inner planets like Mercury, Mars and Venus).

So what does this mean for us? Venus, as discussed above, impacts our relationships but also money. Venus has a greater impact on women than on men. Women can feel depressed around this time. However, if we stay open, within our hearts and our minds, we can create opportunities for ourselves. Astrologers advise us that it is best not to begin a new relationship when Venus is retrograde, however if we do, it will mean that it will teach us something important about ourselves and our relationship to others. Mercury retrograde, as we all know, plays the trickster in all of our communications. If you need to replace, buy or trade in your electronic devices, do it before February 6th! As for Mars, it is the action planet. It can impact men more than women, but it is the ruler of all actions, drives and desires! It’s in the planet Libra, which is the relationship planet (it loves to find balance in everything), so we may be reviewing all actions within our relationships. It is probably safe to say, relationships are going to be going through some interesting shifts and will play an even bigger role in our personal and spiritual growth in 2014! Relationships are how we evolve the most in our lives, whether they are romantic or not. I have a really good feeling about 2014 and I feel we will create the relationships we truly desire, through attention, review and balance!

So, focus your attention or intention on what you choose for your life. Choose Joy, Freedom, Passion, Abundance, Love, Success, and a life filled with a Higher Purpose. Choose this for you and intend it for everyone. Fill yourself with Gratitude for everything happening in your life; the good, the bad and the ugly. It’s all leading you to discover your next highest vision of the most joyful you! May your Dreams be realized in 2014 and may you have the Awareness to nurture this highest vision within!

Intuitive Soul Radio: Stay tuned, I hope to have more information as to my new endeavors before the end of January. I’m excited about new possibilities!

Sept Newsletter 2013 ~ Rules of the Game

Happy Fall,

Fall is such a wonderful time of the year, where we all get excited about starting new projects and new learnings! Although some see it as bitter sweet, because the summer is weaning, the nights are getting cooler and the leaves are beginning to change (on some trees). I see fall as a new chance to begin creating again. Like a fresh start, what we remember as students going to school on the first day. It is always exciting to me.

I wanted to introduce a wonderful new practitioner I discovered and promote a new program of a good friend of mine. First, as you all know I have been on a personal journey of Health and Well-being. I met recently, a young man who is an RMT but also does Muscle Activation. What Joshua looks for is weak muscles and knows exactly what bone is out of place or what acupuncture point (electronic acupuncture) to use to make that muscle, ligament or bone strong again. If it hadn’t been done to my own body, I’m not sure I would have believed it! I highly recommend meeting Joshua Young RMTfitness@gmail.com or call 647-231-8142.

Also, I want to let you know that my friend Helen Goldstein is launching a new project on Work Place Wellness. It is an on-line training for wellness professionals to teach you to deliver wellness in the work place, conferences and retreats. She is having a teleseminar on Sept 19th, to find out more information about this exciting program and the seminar please visit her new website (coming very soon):www.theworkplacewellnessacademy.com.

My Inspiration this month:
Recently, I’ve had a series of shows with Tom Campbell on consciousness. During our last 2 shows (please see his page) he has said some things that I believed to be quite profound. To understand his analogy think about a computer game like Sims or World of Warcraft where our consciousness is the person who has the mouse or controls that are making the choices within the virtual reality. It is our choices that determine whether we are evolving or not. When we become so invested in the game and what we perceive as our “story”, which we use to justify our fear and our ego, (please see last month’s article) we begin to identify ourselves as the game.  We forget who we really are.

We get so caught up in our story that we put all of our energy on fixing, manipulating, or trying to control the game in our search for happiness; that we may miss the very reason we are here at this time, in this human experience. We are here to evolve! Evolution occurs when we make choices from a state of Being that is love not fear. All the stories we create around justifying our choices that are not love, move us away from the “rules of the game”, which is our freewill to make choices that allow us to evolve our consciousness or not!

We are in a Virtual Reality and realizing this is how we can fast track to evolve our consciousness. When we learn to make choices from Love not fear, than our choices create more love through our compassion and caring for others, and we are evolving our consciousness. We all know that it doesn’t always feel like a choice, but that is just our ego needing to justify itself or our choices (why we are “right”, why we can get frustrated or angry etc.). It is important still to be authentic and allow our emotions to be felt, however, once we have our initial reaction in the now moment, we must be vigilant to not add to the story of why we felt our initial reaction. Just ask yourself how can I come from a state of Love now?  Read More:

April Newsletter 2013 ~ Empowered Choices

Happy Spring!
I hope you’re getting inspired to create some New Beginnings, as our weather is starting to shift out of it’s deep freeze? Last month I started a program that I had been on before, that was the most successful way to lose weight without making many changes and dieting. After my year with frozen shoulders and the past couple of years with heavy metal poisoning, my health is finally on the mend. Armand is once again offering his $500 program for free, with no strings attached. If you want more information listen to our show we did last month (we have a follow up show on April

Mercury is no longer in retrograde and now with several planets in Aries, we finally have the energy to begin to make some forward growth again. I hope my inspiration this month on my experience will guide you to create some Empowered Choices of your own.

Inspiration this month: Empowered Choices

I believe I have understood a huge piece of the puzzle this past couple weeks. I’ve understood how when it comes to easter-bunniesrelationships, it is never about the other person (which at the time was a huge learning for me). This past month when something occurred that triggered my feelings of victimhood I was able to step out of the pain and fear and observe my reactions (after a few hours of pity, anger and fear). I was able to understand that something wasn’t being done “to me”. I had a choice how I could respond. Instead of being outraged and fearful, I came into a place of acceptance that although I didn’t know how, I would be okay and this would be my choice.

As I faced this situation where I felt the need to do something to change, fix and heal my situation, I instead came from a place of Being. I chose to come from a state of my core essence, not my reactionary state of fear about my future or a past pattern from my childhood. I chose to accept the situation and myself for who I was. I also chose to see how I use situations that “happen” in my life to play out an old scenario of pain and victimhood. I chose to grow from a place of love, instead of allowing my ego to react from fear.

I completely understood that you have to be in the Now moment, or present to acknowledge that you even have a choice. That if you are in your past patterns of sabotage and fear or worrying about the future, you only can react from your perceptions of fear. We all go through our own unique issues, based on our experiences. I saw, just like in relationships, where we think or believe that this is ALL about the other person, that there are always two people (like every situation has two or more sides). What we believe is about the other person, never is. It is our illusion of fear based on our experiences, conscious or unconscious, real or imagined that influences us to perceive the events as we do. We may also perceive events in our lives through our parent’s judgements, hidden triggers from our past lives or our genetic lineage. Ultimately, we experience what our Soul wants us to experience which is in divine order. It is so much more complex than we imagined. And it’s not about blame or accepting blame; it’s about responsibility. But again not what you expect or imagine. Seeing our true responsibility is freeing, not restricting. It means we have power, and the ability to choose.

What I learned is that we truly can be in charge of how we respond. However, the important piece was that I had to be fully present. When I was in rage and fear, I was mostly reacting from my past patterns and worrying about my future. To be fully “in charge” I had to step into my power, see my reactions for what they were and accept that I had a choice. An empowered choice to not be bullied or taken advantage of, to do what I felt was right (my perception of what I felt was right for me, which may or may not have been from ego) and choose to respond from a place of empowerment. It was completely freeing and I could see how many of my choices felt like they weren’t choices but reaction from being a victim. It opened up infinite possibilities for me to see and allowed me to feel empowered as I made the choice instead of feeling guilt, shame or powerless.

It can be very difficult to SEE ourselves. We often get stuck in a pattern that IS our life, until we DECIDE, enough! When we make the decision that we want more or that we want something different, that is when we look through the window to get a glimpse of who we truly are. The more we open up and become curious about discovering the truth of us, that is when we begin to see that we have the power to choose something different – we have the power to create the most miraculous life.

May this empower you to see another side to your story.

I Love

I love, because my love is not dependent on the object of love. My love is dependent on my state of being. So whether the other person changes, becomes different, friend turns into a foe, does not matter, because my love was never dependent on the other person. My love is my state of being. I simply love. –Osho Continue reading

Feb Newsletter 2013 ~ I Love

Hello Everyone! Happy Love Month

The world is opening up to new possibilities and it feels like we have walked into a new vortex of planet earth. I hope you can feel the infinite opportunities opening up to you at this time!

New website is live and my pharma hack is getting further and further behind me (or google). And currently Sky.CBSlocal.com our new station is live on the internet for everyone. (I hope it continues!!)

My Inspiration for this month:

I love, because my love is not dependent on the object of love. My love is dependent on my state of being. So whether the other person changes, becomes different, friend turns into a foe, does not matter, because my love was never dependent on the other person. My love is my state of being. I simply love. –Osho

February is always Love month at Intuitive Soul. Whether it is self, romantic or all relationships, I like to term this “love month”. When I think of Love, I think about all the relationships we are in, as well as our continued evolution towards love over fear. The above quote from Osho, describes the type or kind of love that I would like to share with you this Love Month of 2013 and always.

Love is a state of Being, yet our definition of romantic Love seems to have become the most complicated emotion we experience in life. Or perhaps it is the Journey towards evolving into our state of Being that is so complicated. Relationships are how we grow our souls toward love and enlightenment. Some people are afraid of being loved and/or rejected, that they remove themselves from the game. However, regardless of who the players are, our soul will always find the right players to assist us with our growth. They may be our colleagues at work, our boss, our friends or our family. We can’t avoid our opportunities to evolve towards love. But we often try!

We also see the people, who believe they are in the game, but instead are emotionally unavailable or become emotionally available only to someone who cannot return their love. In love we see jealousy and obsession.  Often our love is conditional on the other person changing, being fixed or accepting that we are “right” and then we want to control how the relationship evolves.

As I continue to be reminded, love isn’t about what we can receive. It isn’t about someone loving us back. It isn’t about our ego’s desire to control and manipulate the object of our affection (no matter how unconscious this is). Love is about “giving” and BEing. It is about opening our hearts, being vulnerable, being messy, and evolving from the pain and fears we learned about, that we thought love was. It is about letting go of the corrupted ideas and expectations of what love is.

Imagine if we could be in a state of BEing that is LOVE? That isn’t conditional on anything outside of us. It isn’t dependent on anyone loving us back. It is just about giving unconditionally. Because you are LOVE!! So ultimately being in a state of love is more about  connecting with who you truly are….a journey in to oneself, an inward journey rather than the outward journey that so many of us pursue in the name of LOVE. Imagine how the world would respond to our Being. We wouldn’t be so obsessed about- who or when or if. We would just give love or BE LOVE.

Join me this month to experiment on something new… for 30 days, focus on journeying inward to tap into the love that is within you, that is you and share this with others without expecting anything in return. Without having to be right, or saying or doing things that are forms of manipulation, to get someone to like or love you. Rather just open your heart and express the love and gratitude that you are! Don’t just experiment with your significant other, and include your friends, family, and the person at the checkout counter. Be LOVE!
